Anahata Yoga Studio

The studio is located between Kameoka and Nantan. About 20min from Kameoka or Sonobe station by car. In a house next to a farm, doing yoga in the middle of nature will make you feel refreshed and bring happiness into your life.

2003 Moving to Los Angeles, CA.
2006 Start taking bellydance class. and yoga practice to improve back pain.
2009 Start performing as bellydancer at local restaurants, dance shows in LA.
2011 Start charity bellydance class for Great Eastern Japan Earthquake. After that start teaching belly dance classes as an instructor.
2014 Taking Yoga teacher training at Yoga Works Larchmont and received RYT200 certification. Start practice Ashtanga Yoga with Noah Williams at yoga nilayam
2015 Moved back to Japan, Opened Anahata Yoga Studio.
2017 Practice with R. Sharath Jois at Kpjayi in Mysore India.
Continue practicing Ashtanga Yoga, studying Yoga anatomy and philosophy.

FAQ

I am new to Yoga. is it ok if I don’t know anything about Yoga practice?

No problem at all! Class will go slowly and the teacher will demonstrate each pose. As you continue coming back, you will remember the poses and can concentrate on your breath more to deepen your practice.

My body is very stiff. Am I still able to practice Yoga?

Body flexibility doesn't matter in Yoga. Each pose can be modified for any body type. As you practice more your body will become strong and flexible.

How often should I come to the yoga class?

Once or twice a week, but It is best to find a comfortable yoga schedule to stay consistent. As you continue you will feel the difference in yourself!

What kind of clothes should I wear?

Anything you feel comfortable with. Students often wear t-shirts, long sleeves, sweat pants, leggings, and shorts.

What should I bring to the class?

A towel, water bottle, or anything you need. The studio has storage for personal belongings.

I don’t have a yoga mat. Can I rent a mat?

Rental mat is free. Or we sell basic 6mm yoga mats for 1000yen. You may leave your mat at the studio with no charge. So that you don’t have to bring it everytime.
